Nationalmuseum is Sweden's leading art and design museum. We have around 150 employees and are a part of the government agency Nationalmuseum med Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde.
Our collections are exhibited on Blasieholmen, in central Stockholm, and at 20 other sites, including Gripsholm Castle and Läckö Castle. The collection consists of historic paintings, sculpture, prints and drawings and decorative art and design from ancient times to the modern day.
We are also responsible for the portraiture in the National Portrait Gallery. Nationalmuseum run a successful exhibition programme and extensive exhibitions and loans programme and publishing activities. In 2009, Nationalmuseum had 800 000 visitors
