Nationalmuseum is Sweden's leading art and design museum. Employees number around 150 and the museum is a part of the government agency Nationalmuseum med Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde.
Our collections would normally be exhibited on Blasieholmen, in central Stockholm, but the museum building is currently under renovation. In the meantime we have two temporary locations in Stockholm, at the Royal Academy of Fine art and at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern. We also exhibit collections at 20 other sites, including Gripsholm Castle, Läckö Castle and Gustavsbergs Porslinsmuseum.
The collection consists of historic paintings, sculpture, prints and drawings and decorative art and design from ancient times to the modern day (the main building in Stockholm is closed for renovation until 2018). We are also the head of the National Portrait Gallery.
Nationalmuseum has a successful exhibition programme and extensive exhibitions and loans programme and publishing activities. In 2012 the government agency Nationalmuseum with Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde had 904,000 visitors.
We do not advertise all our open positions in English. Please see our Swedish website for more job openings.
Please note that due to the renovation we cannot accept internship applications. Open positions should be sought according to the instructions in the job posting.
You will find open positions, if advertised in English, in the menu to the left.
