The first thing you will see when entering Gripsholm Castle is John-Erik Franzén’s famous portrait of the Royal Family. King Carl XVI Gustaf was depicted together with Queen Silvia and their three children during 1984-85. The work is part of Gripsholm’s biggest treasure; the National Portrait Collection.
