The National Portrait Collection at Gripsholm Castle
Gripsholm Castle is home to the National Portrait Collection, the world’s oldest collection of portraits. It contains more than 4 500 works, charting the evolution of portraiture from the 16th century to the present. In the collection you can see many prominent Swedes, from the royal kings to artists like Greta Garbo and Ingmar Bergman.
