The image archive holds a unique treasury of images that can illustrate every conceivable subject. We have a wide selection of images of paintings, applied art, sculptures, drawings, graphic art and icons. We also have photos of portraits depicting Swedish subjects or by Swedish artists. Interested users can use our photo collection to obtain a good idea of individual artists’ works or to improve their knowledge of applied art.
You can order images from the image archive. Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to help you find the images you need. You can also search our WebArt image database yourself. Images are usually supplied in digital format but are also available as large transparencies or prints. To order images, please fill in the order form.

The Photographic Archive contains black-and-white and colour photos of Nationalmuseum’s collections, other museums’ collections and privately owned artworks. It also holds photos documenting the history of Nationalmuseum.
