We offer guided tours of our permanent collections (paintings and sculpture from 1500 to 1900, design and applied art from 1500 to the present) and temporary exhibitions. These tours can be combined with creative sessions in Ateljén.
For students who haven’t visited Nationalmuseum before, we recommend the “First Visit to Nationalmuseum” tour. This provides an entertaining and inspirational introduction to the museum and its collections. Together, we’ll look at and talk about some of Nationalmuseum’s best-known works, such as Carl Larsson’s murals and Alexander Roslin’s veiled lady. We’ll also discover some more unlikely artifacts like a milk carton and a goblet made from an ostrich egg.
We currently offer guided tours for schools in Swedish and English only. If you’d like a tour in English, please book well in advance. Remember, English is not the first language of our education officers.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
A one-hour tour costs SEK 850. A two-hour tour and Ateljé session costs SEK 1,050.
