Nationalmuseum's image archive contains more than a million images. There are images of our artworks as well as of our history and staff. You'll also find images of other museums’ objects and collections.
For any image-related questions, please read our FAQ on images. If your question still wasn't answered, e-mail images@nationalmuseum.se.
There are two main ways to find images of our artworks.
- First, there's Wikimedia Commons. 6,000 high-resolution images of our most popular paintings and drawings are freely available for direct download on Wikimedia. Because these images are public domain, you can use them however you like.
- Alternatively, browse our own online database, which contains hundreds of thousands of zoomable images of our collections.
