Take your group or art association on a private tour that focuses on crafts, form and design from the late 1800s to the present day.
The museum's collections are presented along an imaginary timeline that winds through the building and its stunning exhibition halls. Art, crafts and design are presented side by side to give you a deeper understanding of, and new perspectives on, different eras in history. This particular tour focuses on the latter part of the timeline.
We first look at the birth of industrialism and the major world exhibitions during the latter half of the 19th century. Through select pieces and stories, we then embark on a journey to see how design changed from the 1900s to the present day.
