Map of the museum
In the entrance hall, a map of the museum is displayed on large digital screens. Here, you will also find paper maps of the different floors.
There is a tactile map in the foyer, to the right just after the steps.

Wheelchairs and wheeled walking frames
We're happy to lend you a wheeled walking frame or wheelchair to make your visit easier. Please ask a member of our staff on the ground floor.
Prams and pushchairs
You are welcome to walk around the museum with a pram or pushchair.
If you do not want to bring your pram or pushchair into the exhibitions, there is room to park it outside the children’s exhibition Villa Curiosa on the ground floor. Note that this space is primarily reserved for those visiting Villa Curiosa. For safety reasons, you may not store any belongings in/around prams parked here.
We ask that you do not bring prams and pushchairs that you have used outdoors into Villa Curiosa, as they bring in dirt. Instead, you can borrow a pushchair at the museum; simply present an ID.
Unattended prams or pushchairs may be taken care of by our staff.
Toilets
There are plenty of toilets on the lower ground floor.
Every floor has at least one accessible toilet:
- On the top floor: inside the temporary exhibition.
- On the middle floor: from the lift, turn right into the Timeline. The toilet is located just after the purple room.
- On the ground floor: one by the restaurant and one by the studios.
- On the lower ground floor: from the lift, turn left and then straight ahead. There is also a toilet by the picnic room. You reach it by taking the lift down from the ground level (next to the studios).
Changing rooms
There are changing tables in the accessible toilets on each floor.
Ran out of nappies or need any other changing supplies? Ask one of our staff, who can help you get what you need.
