Welcome to the winter and spring edition of Jazz in the grand staircase – a concert series where the presence of jazz meets the grandeur of the Nationalmuseum’s architecture. On a number of Thursday evenings, the museum’s staircase is filled with live music, close to the audience and at the very heart of the space.
The series presents current musicians and ensembles from Stockholm’s jazz scene, with a programme that moves between the lyrical and the improvised. It offers room for both established names and new voices, in a format that encourages attentive listening, curiosity, and unexpected musical encounters.
