Nationalmuseum will open again Tuesday June 16

Due to the situation with the new coronavirus Nationalmuseum has been closed. We are planning to open again June 16.

All public activities such as lectures, public tours, school tours, workshop activities and booked group tours have already previously been cancelled. They will start again after the summer, at earliest.

While the museum is closed, we wish to offer you digital experiences of art. Please follow us in social media and check out the web site.

We look forward to meeting you when the museum opens again.

In the newly refurbished museum, the galleries are full of exhibitions comprising mostly of artworks from Nationalmuseum's unique collections. Painting and sculpture are displayed side by side with applied arts and design.

The collection displays will be rearranged several times a year, continuously presenting different themes to be discovered through the collections. Temporary exhibitions, comprising of both Nationalmuseum's collections as well as art borrowed from other museums and instititutions around the world, will complement the collection displays.
