Book a private guided tour of Wilhelm Kåge & Shōji Hamada and learn about form, function and cultural exchange between Sweden and Japan.
The exhibition highlights two influential ceramists whose artistry was shaped by ideas about the importance of craftsmanship in modern society. Through works in clay and glaze, you will encounter both their personal expressions and shared ideals about beauty, function and the inherent power of the material. During the tour, you will be introduced to the artists' work and the cultural exchanges between Sweden and Japan that characterised their era.
