Welcome to the Nationalmuseum — a place where Swedish art, design, and craftsmanship come alive. On this short guided highlights tour, we invite you to discover a selection of highlights from our rich collections, spanning centuries of creativity.
As we move through the galleries, we’ll follow a journey through time, weaving through the museum’s stunning halls. Here, paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, and design are displayed side by side, allowing us to discover fascinating connections across periods and artistic forms. We’ll stop at a few highlights from different genres and eras — some you may recognize, others will surprise you — all chosen to offer insight into how art reflects and shapes the world we live in.
