Iiris Viljanen is a boundary-pushing jazz pianist whose playful improvisation blends with emotional depth. Rooted in contemporary jazz and with a new instrumental album set to be released this autumn, her music moves freely between composed structure and spontaneous inspiration. With these concerts at the Nationalmuseum, she embarks on a new artistic chapter.

The Stockholm Jazz Festival is one of Sweden’s largest and oldest festivals. Each year, it draws over 30,000 visitors during ten days packed with concerts, encounters, and musical discoveries. Since 2012, the festival has taken the form of an indoor city festival, hosting events at more than 70 venues across the city — from concert halls to basements, museums, bookstores, bars, and cultural centers. This year’s festival boasts a lineup of over 300 acts from around the world.
