The exhibition Design=Memory presents one of today's most prominent Japanese designers, Akira Minagawa, and his fashion and textile brand Minä perhonen. Founded in 1995 by Akira Minagawa, it has grown over the years into a team of 200 people working closely with local manufacturers and artisans. In the exhibition we encounter the everyday and natural philosophy that permeates their work. The creative process is highlighted alongside clothing, design objects and unique original pieces. Together, Akira Minagawa and his team look at how design can, and should, make us happier in everyday life.
Bookable times
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: start every full and half hour, 11:30-15:30.
- Thursday: start every full and half hour, 11:30-19:30pm
- Saturday and Sunday: start every full and half hour, 11:30-15:30.
The tour lasts approximately 60 minutes.
Number of participants
Max 20 people/group
For safety reasons, and for the best experience of the tour, the number must not be exceeded. If the group coming to the museum is larger, the extra participants will not be able to participate in the tour.
Prices
- Weekdays, start after 15:30: 2 500 SEK + entrance fee 110 SEK/person.
- Thursdays from 16:00: SEK 3,500 + entrance fee SEK 110/person
- Saturday and Sunday: SEK 3,500 + entrance fee SEK 110/person
Language supplement
For tours in languages other than Swedish, there is an additional fee of SEK 500.
How to pay
Pay by bank card or via Swish at the museum's cash desk in connection with the tour or via invoicing after the tour.

Booked tour = go before the queue
Participants in a booked group tour have priority in the main entrance in case of a queue. Take the entrance on the right and show your booking confirmation to the host or guard on site.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be notified to bokningen@nationalmuseum.se at least two weeks before the date of the screening.
